Joomla Services : Details

These Joomla services and prices are available for the month of July 2008, Joomla 1.0.x or 1.5x series, and must be pre-paid. One Joomla site per service. We support many (but not all) third party extensions. Third party software not integrated with Joomla is not generally covered. We reserve the right to limit the number of services per client.

Joomla Site Installation

For those not comfortable with FTP, file permissions, and databases.

Joomla core installed and properly configured (security and permissions) on one standard server. We will create a MySQL database and a user with all necessary priviledges to access the database. Installation of an additional template if you have picked one. Most shared and virtual server space is suitable - server requirements are PHP 4.2.x or above, MySQL 3.23.x or above, Apache 1.3.x or above. MySQL, XML, and Zlib functionality enabled within your PHP installation.

Joomla Site Backup

When losing data is not an option.

MySQL Database and your Joomla site files. Mailed to you on a CD. Sites over 100 MEGS, additional databases, server directories, mirror site setup, and restore services available for additional fees.

Joomla Site Cleanup : One Time

Is your back-end a mess? Site administration a nightmare?

We will trouble-shoot error messages, remove unused extensions (from server and database), update the core files, re-organize your content and/or offer advice on better taxonomy, clean your menu and/or offer advice on better options, test forms, validate links etc.

Joomla Site Maintenance : 3 Month Subscription

Maintenance tasks include (but are not limited) to the following; add, edit, remove content and pages, fix bugs, validate html and links, add or replace or optimize images, update Joomla core and extensions. Guaranteed 48 hour turnaround time. Maintenance plan includes backup of your site, monthly detail of work completed, and testing after every edit. Custom programming and creating custom graphics are not maintenance! Up to 3 Hours per month.

Joomla Training : One Hour via Telephone

Joomla Technical Support : Via Email

This service special is for web designers or somewhat techie types that are new to Joomla. If you have never made a website - this service will not help you learn the basics.

Mostly unlimited Technical Support for one Joomla site for the month of July for a flat rate! Shorten your learning curve. All Joomla related queries are valid. We will guarantee replies within 12 business hours. So far, we have answered all support tickets within 4 business hours. Business hours are Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM EST.

This Joomla service is for techies and non-techies. Providing quality telephone support during business hours is expensive - it basically stops production.

Joomla Site moved to another server

Moving a database-driven site from one server to another can be tricky.

We will backup your files and database from your current server. We create a database on the new server, clone your data and files, modify the configuration.php and .htaccess files, and modify security and permissions if necessary. We can advise you on domain changes and/or domain moves and e-mail issues. We test it all of course! Note that some commercial third-party extensions only work with the domain registered upon purchase.

Joomla Site Organization (Taxonomy)

The ease of managing, maintaining, and scaling a content management system such as Joomla depends on how well you have organized the back-end.

We create a taxonomy (sections-categories-items) based on your content, site purpose, menus, menu display options, modules, end-user requirements and other criteria.
